# Orange Banana > Orange Banana is a brand strategy and marketing practice for independent insurance businesses in the United States: retail brokers, wholesale brokers, MGAs, MGUs and program business in P&C, E&S and specialty lines, plus insurtech companies selling into insurance. It builds a fixed-fee, eight-week brand foundation (positioning, messaging, visual identity and a brand experience map), then puts it to work through a monthly marketing retainer. Founded by Damjan Marković, brand strategist and IMCA member since 2022. Tagline: "Your insurance brand. Clarified." The premise: most firms in the category say the same three things ("trusted partner", "tailored solutions", "decades of combined experience"), and now AI writes them too. What actually separates two firms (judgment, responsiveness, staying power) rarely makes it into anything that travels without the principals in the room. Orange Banana finds what a firm is already good at, puts it in words its market uses, and makes sure the same answer shows up everywhere partners and clients meet the firm. ## Key facts - Who it is for: independent retail brokers, wholesale brokers, MGAs, MGUs, program administrators, specialty wholesalers and reinsurance intermediaries in the U.S. Anyone who sells through relationships. A separate offer exists for insurtech companies. - Who it is not for: anyone shopping for a website, a logo or "just social" with no interest in the strategy underneath it, or anyone who doesn't want their current positioning questioned. - Industry background: hands-on experience with every stage of the policy lifecycle, alongside retail and wholesale brokers, carriers, MGAs and MGUs, program administrators and captives. No onboarding period spent learning the industry on the client's account. - The foundation (brand strategy and identity): eight weeks, fixed fee. Weeks 1-2 listening (principals, the people who sell, service and renew, one partner, one client, and everything already in market). Weeks 3-4 deciding (competitive read of the niche, then four decisions: what the firm stands for, how it communicates, how it looks, how it behaves). Weeks 5-6 building (messaging for partners and for clients, visual system). Weeks 7-8 landing it (every touchpoint mapped and ranked, with an implementation roadmap). - Deliverables: a brand book (positioning, messaging, identity) and a brand experience map covering everywhere the brand meets the market, from the first search result to the proposal and the invoice, ranked by what to fix first. - Growth retainer (monthly): two social channels for the firm, LinkedIn for two leadership principals, articles and a monthly newsletter, monthly email campaigns, quarterly case studies, two line or program campaigns per year. - Full Service retainer (monthly): everything in Growth scaled up, with three channels for the firm, LinkedIn for three principals, twice the email output, four program campaigns per year, trade press placement work and event production support. - Order of work: strategy first, then delivery. If a strategy already exists, it is reviewed first (two weeks) before anything is produced against it. The retainer is not sold without a foundation underneath it. - Pricing model: fixed scope, fixed fee, fixed dates, billed monthly. No hourly billing. - Founding partner program (2027): three founding seats for the U.S. practice. Two months of brand strategy and identity plus six months on the Growth retainer for $45,000 total ($5,625/month over eight months; list price $77,000). Afterwards, optional continuation on the Growth retainer at the founding rate of $6,000/month (list $8,500), guaranteed for 24 months, then month to month with 30 days' notice. In return: a case study with tracked results, a publishable testimonial, and one introduction. Paid media spend is paid directly to the platform. - Insurtech founding program: two seats. Eight weeks of brand strategy and go-to-market translation for the insurance buyer, then six months on the Growth retainer, on the same founding terms. - How to start: a 30-minute call, no deck. Reply within 24 hours. The outcome is either a fixed-scope proposal or an honest referral to someone who fits better. The person on the first call runs the engagement; no handoff to junior staff. - Contact: damjan@orangebanana.co or https://orangebanana.co/start-a-conversation - Legal entity: Damjan Marković PR Orange Banana, a sole proprietorship registered in Belgrade, Serbia.
